CBPP Woodlands Safety Incentive Program

Back ] Home ] Next ]

In 1997, a program was introduced to recognize employees for working Lost Time Injury free and to promote Health and Safety on the job.

Upon reaching a certain number of safe hours (milestones), employees receive points that they redeem for merchandise. The merchandise available for CBPP Woodlands employees is in the attached catalogue.

This program has been a great success – CBPP Woodlands has had a tremendous Safety Record over the past couple of years. 2002 was the best performance to date with 1 lost-time injury in 750,000 hours and in 2003 there were 3 lost-time injuries in 816,000 hours.

That one day's production at the Corner Brook mill will make a roll of paper 1 meter wide and 20,800 kilometers long? That's enough to reach halfway around the world, or twice around the circumference of the moon.
