SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT

Corner Brook Pulp & Paper is developing and implementing a Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) system for its timberlands. This system is patterned after the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements and the Canadian Standards Association standards for Sustainable Forest Management. This system incorporates public involvement in establishing a full range of values and goals for managing our forest. Progress towards meeting our goals will be monitored and reviewed regularly. When this system is fully implemented, Corner Brook Pulp & Paper can clearly demonstrate to our customers, our employees and the public that our forest is being sustainably managed.
